PulseCheck respects your privacy. This policy explains how the app processes information when providing facial measurement, wellness reference results, account identification, subscription purchases, and basic service features.
After you actively start a measurement and grant camera permission, PulseCheck uses the device camera to capture facial image data for camera-based facial measurement. The facial measurement SDK analyzes facial blood flow signals to estimate heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), respiratory rate, mental stress index, body mass index (BMI), and body status reference information.
The camera is used only for the measurement feature. PulseCheck does not use camera data for identity verification, face recognition, advertising tracking, or building an identity profile.
To provide app features, PulseCheck may process the following information:
1. Measurement-related information
Facial image data, derived blood flow signals, measurement metadata, signal quality information, and measurement results generated during a measurement, such as estimated heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), respiratory rate, mental stress index, body mass index (BMI), and body status reference information.
Historical measurement records created in the app may be used to display trends and review past results.
2. Device ID or other identifiers
To provide basic account identification, maintain login status, and support service features, the app may collect Android ID or generate a random device identifier used only for this app when Android ID is unavailable.
This identifier is used to identify the app instance on the same device, create or maintain server-side login status, and keep app features working properly. It is not used for advertising tracking.
3. Device and app information
The app may collect device brand, device model, system version, system language, country or region, app package name, and app version for interface compatibility, basic service identification, troubleshooting, and app feature adaptation.
4. Account and service status information
The app may obtain or store user identifiers, tokens, membership status, subscription status, or similar information needed to maintain login status and service access.
5. Basic app state information
This may include permission status, local settings, onboarding completion status, local feature switches, and similar app state information required for normal operation.
6. App analytics and attribution information
After you accept this policy, PulseCheck may use analytics and attribution services to understand app installs, subscription conversion, basic app usage, and marketing performance. This may include app interactions, install source, app version, device model, operating system version, country or region, network information, Advertising ID where available, and SDK-generated identifiers or event information. These services are not used to identify you by facial image data.
Facial measurement may require information to be processed by the measurement SDK and related service infrastructure in order to generate measurement results. Depending on SDK requirements, camera-derived measurement data, derived signals, measurement metadata, device information, and measurement results may be processed on the device or transmitted to service providers involved in delivering the measurement feature.
To provide login identification, membership status, subscription benefits, and basic service features, the app may send device IDs or other identifiers, device and app information, and account status information to our servers.
Measurement records created in the app may be stored on your device for history and trend display until you delete them, uninstall the app, or the system clears local storage according to its storage policies.
Analytics, attribution, subscription verification, and facial measurement services may require limited information to be transmitted from the app to our servers or third-party service providers. We require these transmissions to be used only for the purposes described in this policy, such as providing measurement results, maintaining account and membership status, verifying purchases, preventing abuse, troubleshooting, and improving service reliability.
If future versions add cloud sync, advertising features, remote configuration, or other third-party services beyond the services described in this policy, we will update this policy and provide notice or request consent where required.
PulseCheck does not sell or rent your personal information or measurement data.
PulseCheck integrates a facial measurement SDK and related service providers to provide camera-based measurement and result generation. These providers may process information necessary for the measurement feature, such as camera-derived facial measurement data, derived blood flow signals, measurement metadata, device information, and measurement results, only for providing, maintaining, securing, and improving the measurement service.
If you use in-app purchases or subscriptions, the payment process is provided by Google Play. Google may process payment, subscription, order, tax, risk control, and account-related information according to its own policies. PulseCheck may receive necessary purchase results, subscription status, or transaction identifiers to enable, verify, and restore premium access.
PulseCheck integrates AppsFlyer for install attribution, analytics, and marketing performance measurement after privacy acceptance. AppsFlyer may process device and app information, Advertising ID where available, SDK-generated identifiers, install and attribution data, and app event information. We use this information to understand app performance, measure campaigns, detect abnormal activity, and improve the service. AppsFlyer is not used to process facial images for identity verification or face recognition.
PulseCheck may use Google Play services related to billing and Advertising ID. Advertising ID, when available, is used for analytics, attribution, marketing measurement, and fraud prevention in accordance with Google Play policies and user device settings.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect security, to investigate abuse, or to enforce our terms and policies.
Camera permission is used only for the measurement feature. You can disable this permission at any time in system settings. If camera permission is disabled, you will not be able to use camera-based facial measurement, but you may still be able to view existing local records and use other non-camera features.
Network access is used for login identification, membership status verification, subscription-related services, SDK measurement services, opening the privacy policy or reference materials, and other basic app features.
You can delete local measurement records through the app's data management feature. After deletion, the related records will be removed from this device.
If you uninstall the app, the operating system usually clears local app data.
For information stored on servers or processed by service providers to provide login, membership, subscription, or measurement services, you may contact us through the developer contact information provided on the app store page to request access, deletion, or other handling of your personal information. We will process your request subject to applicable law, security requirements, and legitimate retention needs.
The app is intended for general wellness reference use and is not directed to children. Minors should use the app only with consent from a parent or legal guardian and under appropriate guidance.
PulseCheck is not a medical device. Measurement results are for wellness and fitness reference only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
